Wisdom of Athena: extra-reel progress and multiplier total are different
Both have progress on the bonus screen: part of the extra reel is unlocked and multiplier values are accumulated. It does not mean that the number is the same or the reason for their change is the same. In the original Wisdom of Athena, history is clearer when the two states are separated.

There are two types of retained state
In official original Wisdom of Athena overview, each tumble helps to reveal the extra reel. In the free spins, the landed multipliers are retained, and the progression towards the unlocked reel in subsequent spins is also retained.
The two fields are answered separately: how wide is the unlocked reel, and what multiplier values are recorded? You cannot read the multiplier in the number of visible positions, or guess the unlock progress from a 5 × badge.
A before/after note with two columns
This is a hypothetical observation. P is the progress label seen in frame A; not number of tumbles needed to complete the reel. 2 × multiplier is visible. In frame B, P is still the same and a new 3 × value is recorded.

By simply summing the inputs, 2 + 3 = 5. This does not say the extra five reel positions. It also has no monetary award: the actual applicable win and settlement rule is still required. We do not assume any progress increment between two frames.
Compare the state with the same bonus
Include the round ID, spin index, progress indicator and multiplier details in the note. If the two screenshots are different bonuses, you can’t prove retention by their similarities or differences. Locate the feature-start and feature-end markers.
If the progress indicator is not visible, mark it as unknown. Do not use the multiplier total as a substitute. It’s the same in the other direction: it doesn’t mean that the multiplier is zero just because the unlocked portion of the reel is still small.
Make sure the source is original edition
It covers Original Wisdom of Athena. Titles with 1000 in the name are separate products, so do not change the minimum matching count, extra-position threshold or multiplier ceiling from another edition.
When the exact unlock requirement is needed, read the actual help of the edition in the record. The short product page does not provide all transition thresholds. The practical contribution of the two-column note is to maintain the correct field identity before you check more detailed rules.
